Postdoctoral Research Position in Chemistry - Climate Modeling

Johns Hopkins University, USA

The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Johns Hopkins
University,
invites applications for a post-doctoral research position in the
atmospheric
dynamics and transport group. The successful candidate will
participate in
NASA and NSF funded projects to examine chemistry - climate
couplings. Possible research activities include examination of
stratospheric ozone recovery, stratosphere-troposphere coupling, and
impact of climate change on tropospheric chemistry using chemistry-
climate model simulations and satellite observations. The position is
part of a collaborative project with scientists at NASA Goddard Space
Flight Center
(GSFC), and there are opportunities for the successful candidate to
interact
and work with scientists at GSFC. Further information about research
activities can be found at http://www.jhu.edu/~dwaugh1/. Candidates
should hold a PhD in atmospheric science or related field.

Email curriculum vitae, brief statement of research experiences and
goals, and
contact information for three references to Kristen Gaines
(kgaines at jhu.edu). Please include "Atmospheric Postdoc Application"
in the subject line. Review of applicants will begin December 1, 2009.

Johns Hopkins University is an equal opportunities/affirmative action
